Local Sugar Prices in Gorontalo Are the Highest in Indonesia (Monday, August 12, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 17,610 per kg for local granulated sugar in modern markets across several provinces as of Monday, August 12, 2024. Overall, the average price this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 17,560 per kg.

The daily price of local granulated sugar in Gorontalo's modern markets was the highest in Indonesia, at Rp 23,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of local granulated sugar in this province is higher; previously it was recorded at Rp 12,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in West Papua's modern markets, the price of local granulated sugar was Rp 19,350 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of local granulated sugar was Rp 18,500 per kg in Papua, Rp 18,400 per kg in Southeast Sulawesi, and Rp 18,400 per kg in Central Sulawesi.

Meanwhile, 16 provinces had local granulated sugar prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest local granulated sugar prices were Bengkulu, DKI Jakarta, and Bangka Belitung Islands.
