Food Prices Today in West Sumatra: Chili and Onion Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (6/10/2025) at 08.01 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were packaged wheat flour, SPHP rice, packaged cooking oil, pure beef, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as medium rice, bulk wheat flour, shallots, skipjack tuna, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp14,776 (18.42%) to Rp95,000 per kg. The price of red cayenne pepper dropped the sharpest by Rp50,969 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
