East Java Food Prices, Monday (June 17th): Egg Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (17/6/2024) at 13.31 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), pure beef, bulk cooking oil, mackerel, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of livestock-grade corn saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp650 (12.6%) to Rp5,810 per kg. Iodized fine salt experienced the sharpest price drop, falling by Rp4,260 (46.51%) to Rp4,900 per kg.
