West Java Food Prices Update: Red Chili Prices Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency''s (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (August 22, 2025) at 12:08 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, corn at the farmer level, red cayenne pepper, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, Minyakita, large red chili, broiler chicken meat, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Corn at the farmer level saw the highest jump of Rp85 (1.51%) to Rp5,730 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red onion dropped most sharply by Rp811 (1.85%) to Rp42,952 per kg.
