Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Rice Prices Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) at 12:37 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 8 commodities saw price increases and 13 saw decreases.

Commodities with increased prices include skipjack tuna, medium rice, packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, broiler eggs, consumption sugar, milkfish, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour saw the highest jump of Rp137 (1.09%) to Rp12,746 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili dropped the deepest by Rp1,179 (3.37%) to Rp33,821 per kg.

9. Milkfish: Rp27,877 per kg (down 0.2%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,783 per kg (up 0.08%)
11. Broiler Eggs: Rp27,474 per kg (down 0.36%)
