Food Prices Today, January 27, in East Java: Red Chili Up, Oil Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessities Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (27/1/2026) at 13:54 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include curly red chilies, wheat flour, large red chilies, red cayenne peppers, and bulk palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, Honan garlic, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp1,429 (4.9%) to Rp30,619 per kg. Meanwhile, Minyakita price fell the deepest by Rp209 (1.27%) to Rp16,218 per liter.

7. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,212 per kg (stable)
8. Large Red Chili: Rp25,561 per kg (up 3.18%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,432 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,448 per liter (up 0.12%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,442 per kg (stable)
12. Minyakita (Cooking Oil): Rp16,218 per liter (down 1.27%)
