Food Prices Tuesday (Oct 14) West Java Region: Cooking Oil Rises, Red Chili Falls

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have fallen compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (Oct 14, 2025) at 08:44 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 7 commodities rose and 16 commodities fell.

Commodities with rising prices are premium rice, garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as curly red chili, large red chili, packaged wheat flour, medium rice, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil saw the highest increase of Rp853 (4.66%) to Rp19,163 per liter. The price of curly red chili experienced the sharpest drop of Rp5,529 (9.27%) to Rp54,118 per kg.

7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,950 per kg (down 1.11%)
8. Shallots: Rp37,941 per kg (down 1.67%)
9. Milkfish: Rp37,462 per kg (down 1.25%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp36,769 per kg (up 0.25%)
11. Garlic Bulbs: Rp34,824 per kg (up 1.56%)
