Food Consumption Inadequacy Rate of West Lampung Residents Increased by 11.17% in 2024

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in West Lampung Regency, Lampung, was 11.17% in 2024.

This figure increased by 2.67% from the previous year's 8.5%, and by 2.22% in the last 5 years.

The average PoU for Indonesia was 8.27% in 2024, meaning that the PoU in West Lampung Regency is higher than the national average.

The National Food Agency (Bapanas) defines PoU as a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life.
