Figure of Food Consumption Deficiency of Banjar Baru City Residents Rises 3.53% in 2025

Quoting data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in Banjar Baru City, South Kalimantan reached 3.53% in 2025.

This figure increased by 0.78% from the previous year's 2.75%, while in the last 5 years it rose by 2.13%.

Indonesia's average PoU in 2025 was 7.89%. This means that the PoU in Banjar Baru City is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to see the condition of food and nutrition insecurity.
