The highest increase in confirmed positive Covid-19 cases in Southeast Sulawesi currently occurred in Konawe, with six cases per 100,000 population per week as of Sunday, April 10, 2022. This figure is more than double the number of cases in the second-highest region.
The Covid-19 transmission rate in Konawe is higher than the previous week because no cases per 100,000 population per week were reported.
Muna is next in second place. This regency recorded a weekly confirmation rate of two cases per 100,000 population. The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases this week is higher than last week, when no cases were reported.
Besides the two regions above, the top five also include North Konawe, Kendari City, and Kolaka. Each recorded weekly confirmations of 1.51 cases, 0.73 cases, and 0.73 cases, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five regencies/cities in the top 10 are Bau Bau City, Bombana, South Konawe, and Central Buton. These areas recorded an average increase of more than 0.31 cases per 100,000 population.
The good news from this province is that eight regencies/cities did not record any increase in confirmed Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Furthermore, 97 regencies/cities in Indonesia currently reported no confirmed Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
