Prevalence of Undernourishment in Lamongan Reaches 5.3% in 2024

Referring to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of food inadequacy (Prevalence of Undernourishment/PoU) in Lamongan Regency, East Java, was 5.3% in 2024.

This figure increased by 0.24% from the previous year's 5.06%, while in the last 5 years, it has decreased by 0.83%.

The average PoU in Indonesia was 8.27% in 2024. This means that the PoU in Lamongan Regency is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition insecurity.
