Several districts/cities in North Maluku province still record a relatively low second dose vaccination rate compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include West Halmahera Regency, Sula Islands Regency, and Taliabu Island Regency.
As of yesterday, in the vaccination program, these three regions have only completed 88,468 second doses out of the targeted 220,740 vaccine recipients.
West Halmahera Regency is ranked first. As of yesterday, the second dose vaccination rate in this region is only 38.59 percent, the lowest among the other 10 districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first dose has reached 69.37 percent, or 111,560 vaccine recipients.
This district/city's vaccination program targets 101,990 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in West Halmahera last week was 71 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 4,390 doses.
Next is Sula Islands Regency. For the second dose vaccination, this region has the second lowest rate. With a target of 77,153 vaccine recipients, only 40.77 percent, or 31,454 participants, have been vaccinated.
The first dose achievement is recorded at 74.95 percent, or 92,583 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Sula Islands last week was 189 participants. The current vaccine stock is 2,660 doses.
Another is Taliabu Island Regency, ranked third. With a target of 41,598 vaccine recipients, only 42.44 percent, or 17,655 participants, have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Taliabu Island last week was 44 participants. The current available vaccine stock is 3,990 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in North Maluku has reached 77.86 percent, or 853,460 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 54.75 percent, reaching 600,140 vaccine recipients.
