Several districts/cities in North Sumatra province still record a relatively low level of second dose vaccination compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Langkat Regency, Labuhanbatu Regency, and Deli Serdang Regency.
As of yesterday, in the vaccination program, these three regencies had only completed 1.88 million second doses out of the targeted 2.67 million vaccine recipients.
Langkat Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second dose vaccination in this region has reached 70%. This is the lowest among the other 33 districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first dose has reached 91.34%, or 1.35 million vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 805,350 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination last week in Langkat was 5,455 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 221,230 doses.
Next is Labuhanbatu Regency. For the second dose vaccination, this region is ranked second lowest. With a target of 376,480 vaccine recipients, 70.19% or 264,260 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first dose achievement is recorded at 96.01%, or 664,310 vaccine recipients.
Deli Serdang Regency is ranked third. With a target of 1.49 million vaccine recipients, 70.77% or 1.05 million recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination last week in Deli Serdang was 4,372 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 121,530 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in North Sumatra has reached 94.31%, or 10.77 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 78.56%, reaching 8.97 million vaccine recipients.
