East Kalimantan's first dose vaccination coverage reached 100.54 percent on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. This figure is equivalent to 2.89 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 2.87 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 86.94 percent of the target as of yesterday.
Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group had a target of 28,220 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 28,220 people (138.88 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 136.51 percent or 38,520 people were vaccinated.
Public sector workers had a target of 284,190 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 286,980 people (100.98 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 94.6 percent, or 268,840 people.
The elderly target was 189,530 people. For the first dose, 143,080 people were vaccinated (75.49 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 58.46 percent, or 110,800 people.
The target for the vulnerable general public was 1.97 million people. For the first dose, vaccination was reportedly given to 1.56 million people (86.7 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 75.03 percent, or 1.33 million people.
Another target group was adolescents aged 12-17 years. The target in this region was 397,460 people. For the first dose, 370,720 people were vaccinated (93.27 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 83.39 percent, or 331,430 people.
