The highest increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Southeast Sulawesi currently occurred in Konawe Kepulauan, with five cases per 100,000 population per week as of Wednesday, February 2, 2022. This figure is more than double the number of cases in the next highest region.

Bau Bau is next, recording two weekly confirmed cases per 100,000 population. Compared to the previous week, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases this week is still higher, indicating no improvement.
Rounding out the top five are Kendari, Konawe Selatan, and Kolaka, recording 1.46, 1.24, and 1.09 weekly confirmed cases, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five districts/cities in the top ten are Konawe, Bombana, Konawe Utara, and Muna Barat. These regions recorded an average increase of over 0.53 cases per 100,000 population.
The good news from this province is that nine districts/cities recorded no increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
