Indonesia's trade balance with Papua New Guinea showed a surplus of US$105.64 million in 2020. This trade balance value increased by 12.48% compared to the previous year's balance, which was recorded at US$93.92 million.
This positive trade balance, according to Trademap data, was supported by Indonesia's export value, which reached US$139.01 million. This value is higher than Indonesia's imports from Papua New Guinea, which were recorded at US$33.37 million.
Indonesia's exports to Papua New Guinea have been on a downward trend over the past year. The previous year's export value was US$153.28 million.
Meanwhile, imports, according to Trademap data, decreased by 43.79% compared to the previous year, which was recorded at US$59.36 million.
