2024 Bahrain F1 Results: Max Verstappen Wins Season Opener

The 2024 Formula 1 (F1) season opened with the Grand Prix (GP) at the Bahrain International Circuit, held from February 29th to March 2nd, 2024. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen secured his first win in this opening race.

The reigning champion finished first in the Bahrain GP with a time of 1 minute 32.608 seconds, in a race that consisted of 57 laps.

Verstappen earned 28 points from this race, significantly outperforming other drivers. This was his 55th win and 99th podium finish in his F1 career.

Verstappen's teammate, Sergio Perez, finished second, 22.457 seconds behind. He earned 18 points in the season's first race.

Carlos Sainz finished third, just 2.653 seconds behind Perez. The Ferrari driver earned 15 points at the Bahrain GP.

Legendary driver Lewis Hamilton finished seventh with 6 points.
