According to a Kompas Research and Development (Litbang Kompas) survey, many Indonesians want the number of political parties (parpol) participating in the 2024 General Election to be reduced from the 2019 General Election, which had a total of 16 participating parties.

"As many as 45.5% of respondents want fewer political parties participating in the 2024 General Election compared to the 2019 General Election," according to the survey results published by *Kompas.id* on Monday, July 25, 2022.

The survey's confidence level using this method is claimed to be 95%, with a margin of error of approximately 4.35% under conditions of simple random sampling.
