SMRC Survey: Minangkabau People Least Satisfied with Jokowi's Performance

A Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) survey shows that 68.5% of respondents were very or fairly satisfied with the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Meanwhile, 29.5% said they were less or not at all satisfied.

When viewed by ethnicity, the Minangkabau people were the least satisfied with Jokowi's performance, with a percentage reaching 63%. Other ethnic groups that also expressed significant dissatisfaction include the Sundanese (49%) and Betawi (49%).

Meanwhile, respondents who expressed satisfaction with Jokowi's performance came from the Batak and Bugis ethnic groups, with percentages of 77% each. Other ethnic groups that also largely expressed satisfaction with Jokowi's performance include the Javanese (76%), Madurese (68%), and Betawi (51%).

The survey, "National Public Evaluation of President Jokowi's Two-Year Performance," was conducted from September 15 to 21, 2021. The survey involved 1,220 respondents aged 17 and over through face-to-face interviews. The margin of error in this survey is approximately 3.19% at a 95% confidence level.
