CSIS: Jokowi's Electability Remains Highest

Joko Widodo (Jokowi)'s electability for the 2019 Presidential Election remains the highest compared to his rivals. Based on the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) annual survey conducted from August 23-30, 2017, Jokowi's electability reached 50.9 percent. This is a 9 percent increase compared to the previous year.

Meanwhile, his closest rival, Prabowo Subianto, achieved an electability rate of only 25.8 percent, a slight increase of 1.5 percent from the previous year's 24.3 percent. Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono is in third place with an electability of 2.8 percent.

The CSIS survey involved 1,000 respondents proportionally distributed across Indonesia's 34 provinces. Sample selection was conducted randomly using a multi-stage random sampling method with a margin of error of approximately 3.1 percent and a 95 percent confidence level.
