2019 Presidential Election: Jokowi Leads in All Regions of Central Java

The national recapitulation by the General Election Commission (KPU) declared the candidate pair Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-Ma'ruf Amin as the winner of the 2019 Presidential Election. One of the regions that significantly contributed to the incumbent candidate's victory was Central Java. Jokowi-Ma'ruf won decisively with 77.26%, or 16.7 million votes, achieving victory across all regions of Central Java. Their opponent received only 22.74%, or 4.9 million votes.

Regions that served as strongholds for Jokowi with a margin exceeding 70% were Boyolali, Pati, and Grobogan. In Boyolali, Jokowi won with 86.03% of the vote, while Prabowo received only 13.97%. In Pati, Jokowi obtained 85.7% of the vote, a 71.48% margin over his opponent who received 14.26%. Meanwhile, in Grobogan, Jokowi received 85.42% of the vote, while Prabowo-Sandiaga only received 14.58%.
