Infrastructure: A Pressing Issue in Central Java According to Residents

Kompas Research and Development surveyed public opinion in Central Java regarding pressing issues requiring immediate resolution.

The most urgent issue identified was infrastructure (47.3%), including damaged roads and street lighting.

"Robust physical infrastructure is not only crucial for safety but also vital for unlocking and optimizing economic potential," stated the Kompas Research and Development team in their report on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Other pressing issues in Central Java included employment/unemployment (36.2%), uneven social assistance (14.3%), education (14.3%), and the economy (12.6%).

Central Java residents also highlighted high staple food prices, natural disasters, agricultural problems, environmental sanitation, poverty, low regional minimum wages (UMR), and other issues as shown in the graph.

Despite numerous challenges, public satisfaction with the Central Java Provincial Government remains high at 58%, comprising 54.9% satisfied and 3.1% very satisfied.

This survey involved 400 randomly selected respondents in Central Java. The survey used multiple-answer questions, allowing respondents to select more than one answer.

Data collection was conducted from July 1-5, 2025, through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 4.9% with a 95% confidence level, assuming simple random sampling.
