Today's Food Prices March 12 in Central Java: Red Chili Up, Eggs Down

Several food commodity prices in Central Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 12, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 4 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include premium rice, bulk granulated sugar, broiler chicken meat, bulk palm cooking oil, and imported soybeans.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as shallots, medium rice, broiler eggs, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili commodity had the highest increase of Rp1,148 (3.29%) to Rp36,043 per kg. Meanwhile, broiler egg prices had the sharpest decrease of Rp123 (0.42%) to Rp29,016 per kg.

6. Curly Red Chili: Rp36,043 per kg (up 3.29%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp32,247 per kg (up 0.14%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp29,016 per kg (down 0.42%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,906 per liter (up 0.28%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,446 per liter (up 0.72%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,101 per kg (up 0.38%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,681 per liter (stable)
