Today's Food Prices (18/3) in Central Java: Oil, Egg and Bird's Eye Chili Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in Central Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (March 18, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases include imported soybeans, bulk palm cooking oil, beef rump, curly red chili, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as medium rice and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices rose the most by Rp2,604 (6.05%) to Rp45,671 per kg. Meanwhile, medium rice prices fell the most by Rp5 (0.04%) to Rp13,246 per kg.

2. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp88,143 per kg (up 2.14%)
3. Large Red Chili: Rp47,091 per kg (up 4.51%)
4. Curly Red Chili: Rp45,671 per kg (up 6.05%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp41,757 per kg (up 1.3%)
6. Shallots: Rp39,862 per kg (up 1.17%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp32,385 per kg (up 0.07%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,821 per kg (up 0.39%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,087 per liter (up 0.07%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,671 per liter (up 0.74%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,350 per kg (up 0.31%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,678 per liter (down 0.02%)
13. Premium Rice: Rp14,708 per kg (unchanged)
14. Medium Rice: Rp13,246 per kg (down 0.04%)
