Of the 1,005 Indonesian young people surveyed by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC), 59.8% expressed interest in politics.

Of those interested in politics, 80.1% are interested in following political news.

Among the respondents interested in politics, 28.9% are also interested in monitoring the elections, such as becoming election observers, members of the Bawaslu (Election Supervisory Agency), or participating in election monitoring movements.

Data collection was conducted online from October 11-17, 2023, using the tSurvey data collection platform with a non-probability sampling method.

The margin of error for this survey is +/- 3.1% at a 95% confidence level.
