LSI: Prabowo Has Highest Electability, Ganjar and Anies in Close Competition

The General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party and Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, is the most likely to win the Presidential Election (Pilpres) if held today. This was revealed by the results of a survey by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) released on Monday (February 22).

Based on a semi-open survey, Prabowo obtained an electability rating of 22.5%. Prabowo is followed by the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, and the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, whose electability ratings are 10.6% and 10.2%, respectively.

The President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero), Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, also known as Ahok, obtained an electability rating of 7.2%. Next is the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, with an electability rating of 6.9%.

The electability rating of the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, is recorded at 5.5%, followed by the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, at 5%. The General Chairperson of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, obtained an electability rating of 4.8%.

Former Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti, is next with an electability rating of 2.3%. Meanwhile, Ustaz Abdul Somad is in tenth place with an electability rating of 2%.

LSI conducted a survey of 2,300 respondents from January 25-31, 2021. The survey was conducted using a multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of ±2.9% and a 95% confidence level.
