Today's Food Prices March 12 in East Java: Red Chili, Beef and Sugar Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 12, 2026) at 18:05 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 4 decreased.

Commodities with price increases are medium rice, bulk granulated sugar, broiler chicken meat, large red chili, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as premium packaged palm cooking oil, red bird's eye chili, Honan garlic, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity had the highest increase of Rp469 (1.6%) to Rp29,775 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili price had the deepest decrease of Rp1,970 (2.34%) to Rp82,205 per kg.

5. Curly Red Chili: Rp32,057 per kg (up 0.4%)
6. Honan Garlic: Rp30,450 per kg (down 0.65%)
7. Large Red Chili: Rp29,775 per kg (up 1.6%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,043 per kg (down 0.2%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,171 per liter (down 0.01%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,157 per liter (up 0.03%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,524 per kg (up 0.19%)
