Kompas Research and Development: Prabowo Subianto, Millennial's Presidential Candidate Choice

Kompas Research and Development's survey shows that Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto receives the most support from millennials as a presidential candidate. 17.4% of millennials would choose Prabowo if a Presidential Election were held today.

However, Prabowo's support base among millennials has decreased in the last six months. In April 2021, Prabowo received 21.4% support from millennials, which has since dropped to 17.4%.

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo is in second place, with 15.3% support from millennials. This figure is up from the previous survey, where he received 8% support from millennials.

Ganjar Pranowo has surpassed Anies Baswedan in winning millennial votes. Anies's support has decreased from 15.5% in April to 10.5% currently.

Other figures have not yet received significant attention from millennials, including West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil and Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, both with 3.7% support. Following them are Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno with 5.5%, Pertamina's President Commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama with 4.3%, Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono with 2.7%, former TNI Commander General (Ret.) Gatot Nurmantyo with 1.1%, and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD with 0.5%.

For information, Kompas Research and Development surveyed 1,200 respondents across Indonesia from September 26th to October 9th, 2021. The survey used a stratified systematic sampling method with a margin of error of 2.8% and a 95% confidence level.
