3-Month Nickel Commodity Futures Traded at US$17,350/Ton in the Morning (Friday, February 20, 2026)

The price of 3-month nickel commodity futures for Friday (February 20, 2026) trading rose. Today's 3-month nickel futures price was recorded at US$17,350 per ton. This figure is higher than the previous day's trading price of US$17,150 per ton. The current condition contrasts with the downward trend of 3-month nickel futures prices over the past three days.

Over the past week, the 3-month nickel futures price has fallen by -3.29% with an average daily trading price of US$17,160 per ton. According to calculations by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC), year-to-date (ytd), the nickel commodity price has risen by 2.57%. Even from its highest price this year of US$18,975 per ton, the 3-month nickel futures price has dropped by 8.56%.

Annually, the average 3-month nickel futures trading price has been on a downward trend over the past five years. Meanwhile, for monthly price monitoring, trading over the last 12 months has tended to rise. The highest average monthly nickel commodity price was recorded in January 2026 at US$18,030 per ton.

The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment recorded that in the first half of 2023, the year-on-year value of nickel and its derivative exports reached US$19.47 billion or equivalent to Rp301 trillion. In 2022, the export value of this commodity reached US$34.28 billion or Rp530.1 trillion. Indonesia's government downstreaming program is predicted to increase nickel and its derivative exports by up to 20 times by 2025.
