Average Schooling Duration of Seruyan Residents Rises to 8.08 Years

The average schooling duration (ASD) of residents aged 25 and over in Seruyan, Central Kalimantan reached 8.08 years in 2025.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the ASD of residents in this area was below the Central Kalimantan provincial average of 8.96 years in 2025.

The ASD of Seruyan residents increased by 0.07 years (0.87%) compared to the previous year, which was 8.01 years. Meanwhile, over the past five years, the ASD has increased by 0.14 years (1.76%).

This ASD indicates that the average Seruyan resident only attends school up to the 8th grade level. However, this ASD is still below the national average ASD of 9.07 years in 2025.

When compared to the other 13 regencies/cities in Central Kalimantan Province, Seruyan's ASD ranks 13th. The other area in the province with the highest ASD is Palangkaraya City (11.69 years), while the lowest ASD is in Kapuas Regency (8.04 years).
