Average Schooling Duration of Sukamara Residents Rises to 8.23 Years

The average schooling duration (RLS) of residents aged 25 and over in Sukamara, Central Kalimantan was 8.23 years in 2025.

Quoting data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the RLS of residents in this area was below the Central Kalimantan provincial average of 8.96 years in 2025.

Sukamara's resident RLS increased by 0.05 years (0.61%) compared to the previous year, which was 8.18 years. Meanwhile, over the last five years, this RLS has increased by 0.22 years (2.75%).

This RLS indicates that the average Sukamara resident only attended school up to the 8th grade level. However, this RLS is still below the national RLS average of 9.07 years in 2025.

When compared to the other 13 regencies/cities in Central Kalimantan Province, Sukamara's RLS is in 11th place. Other areas in the province with the highest RLS are Palangkaraya City (11.69 years), while the lowest RLS is Kapuas Regency (8.04 years).
