Latest Food Prices in East Java: Onion Prices Rise, Red Chili Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (26/9/2025) at 09.49 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were bulk cooking oil, consumption sugar, consumption salt, premium rice, and red onions.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Minyakita, mackerel, packaged cooking oil, large red chili, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dried soybean seeds (imported) saw the highest jump of Rp167 (1.73%) to Rp9,816 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices fell the sharpest by Rp2,188 (4.28%) to Rp48,903 per kg.

7. Milkfish: Rp32,171 per kg (down 2.2%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,100 per kg (up 1.64%)
9. Garlic Bulb: Rp31,244 per kg (up 1.61%)
10. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp30,325 per kg (down 3.31%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,756 per kg (up 0.87%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,753 per liter (down 0.74%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,811 per liter (up 0.35%)
