Current Food Prices in Central Java: Bird''s Eye Chili Up, Sugar Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (September 10, 2025) at 2:28 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 17 increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include curly red chili, packaged cooking oil, premium rice, broiler eggs, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, consumption sugar, farmer-level corn, pure beef, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Red bird''s eye chili surged the highest by Rp2,357 (7.72%) to Rp32,872 per kg. Meanwhile, farmer-level corn prices dropped the most by Rp41 (0.64%) to Rp6,354 per kg.
