Latest Food Prices in East Java: Onion Prices Up, Red Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (August 15, 2025) at 10:35 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include red onion, packaged wheat flour, packaged cooking oil, medium rice, and broiler eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, milkfish, Minyakita, mackerel, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion prices rose the highest by Rp1,481 (3.14%) to Rp48,615 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices dropped the deepest by Rp3,121 (10.1%) to Rp27,793 per kg.

9. Curly Red Chili: Rp27,793 per kg (down 10.1%)
10. Broiler Eggs: Rp27,102 per kg (up 0.66%)
