Food Prices in West Sumatra Wednesday (12/11): Chicken Meat Prices Rise, Red Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (12/11/2025) at 08:01 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 10 experienced a price increase and 14 experienced a price decrease.

Commodities with increased prices include packaged wheat flour, broiler chicken meat, consumption sugar, curly red chili, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as large red chili, shallots, premium rice, bulk wheat flour, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat saw the highest price increase of Rp2,426 (6.64%) to Rp38,938 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices experienced the deepest drop of Rp55,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
