Banten Food Prices Thursday (5/12): Chili Prices Up, Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (5/12/2024) at 14:23 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp4,090 (12.08%) to Rp37,950 per kg. The price of packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased the most, by Rp90 (0.75%) to Rp11,970 per kg.
