Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Onion and Buffalo Meat Prices Decline

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (October 18, 2025) at 09:53 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 9 increased and 16 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include milkfish, skipjack tuna, dried soybean seeds (imported), mackerel, and fresh buffalo meat (local).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red bird's eye chili, premium rice, consumption salt, bulk wheat flour, and garlic bulbs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp813 (2.41%) to Rp34,579 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices dropped the sharpest by Rp2,186 (4.43%) to Rp47,190 per kg.
