Daily Price of Local Granulated Sugar in Modern Markets, December 2023-2024

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 17:23 WIB, the daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in Central Java Province showed no change compared to the previous day or the last week.

Regarding the price over the last month, the daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp17,200 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in Central Java over the last three months has decreased by 1.15%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in Central Java Province is traded at Rp17,350 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 32.13%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017 with a decrease of -23.15%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Central Java show ten commodities decreased and 17 others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Green Chili, Grade 2 Beef, Grade I Low-Quality Rice, Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Chicken Meat, Chili, and Local Granulated Sugar.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the last month in Central Java Province:

1. Grade I Medium Quality Rice per Kg: Rp15,050 per kg (unchanged)
2. Medium-Sized Garlic per Kg: Rp53,200 per kg (up 3.1%)
3. Curly Red Chili per Kg: Rp52,200 per kg (up 4.82%)
4. Premium Quality Granulated Sugar per Kg: Rp17,350 per kg (down 0.57%)
5. Beef per Kg: Rp192,000 per kg (up 0.34%)
6. Fresh Broiler Chicken per Kg: Rp44,050 per kg (down 1.89%)
7. Green Chili per Kg: Rp43,750 per kg (down 14.97%)
8. Garlic per Kg: Rp53,200 per kg (up 3.1%)
9. Granulated Sugar per Kg: Rp17,300 per kg (unchanged)
10. Grade 2 Beef per Kg: Rp196,800 per kg (down 0.98%)
11. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per Kg: Rp21,350 per kg (up 4.15%)
