Today's Food Prices March 06 in South Sumatra: Bird's Eye Chili and Beef Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in South Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 6, 2026) at 17:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include premium rice, medium rice, Honan garlic, shallots, and beef rump.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as curly red chili, chicken eggs, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili prices jumped the highest by Rp711 (1.27%) to Rp56,811 per kg. Meanwhile, chicken egg prices dropped the most by Rp529 (1.81%) to Rp28,706 per kg.

5. Curly Red Chili: Rp36,094 per kg (down 0.57%)
6. Honan Garlic: Rp34,083 per kg (up 0.92%)
7. Large Red Chili: Rp32,522 per kg (up 0.55%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,706 per kg (down 1.81%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,663 per liter (unchanged)
