Food Prices Today January 28 in West Java: Onions Up, Oil Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessities Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (28/1/2026) at 17.12 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, large red chili, red onion, and Honan garlic.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Minyakita (cooking oil brand) and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion commodity saw the highest increase of Rp1,667 (4.71%) to Rp37,050 per kg. Meanwhile, Minyakita price dropped the sharpest by Rp30 (0.19%) to Rp15,700 per liter.

6. Honan Garlic: Rp36,167 per kg (up 0.56%)
7. Curly Red Chili: Rp34,983 per kg (up 1.99%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,550 per kg (down 0.03%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,408 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp17,880 per liter (stable)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,825 per kg (stable)
