The 2023 nominal Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Kepulauan Seribu Regency was recorded at Rp8,213.6 billion. This represents a negative growth of -7.85% compared to the previous year's Rp10.13 trillion.
Despite this, historical data shows that growth in this region has not improved since the COVID-19 pandemic, recording lower growth rates.
According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) data, with a total population of 30,212, the GRDP per capita in this region was recorded at Rp287.96 million/capita/year. Nationally, this ranks 13th.
Of the 17 sectors driving the economy in this regency, mining and quarrying is the leading sector.
Mining and quarrying contributed the largest amount to the GRDP in 2023, reaching Rp6.01 trillion, although this shows a negative growth of -12.76%.
Following this is the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, which experienced negative growth of -6.15%, reaching Rp481.75 billion. The wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector ranked third, growing by 5.37% to Rp409.64 billion.
Other sectors contributing to the top five include accommodation and food services, with a GRDP of Rp241.96 billion.

In terms of distribution, the main sector contributing the most to GRDP growth in Kepulauan Seribu Regency is mining and quarrying, with a contribution of 63.36%. Other sectors in the top five include agriculture, forestry, and fisheries; wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; manufacturing; and accommodation and food services.
Sectors with the smallest distribution include transportation and warehousing; financial and insurance services; real estate; water supply; waste management, waste and recycling; and electricity and gas supply.
