Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Sugar, Oil, and Onion Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (5/12/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, red chilies, premium rice, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, shallots, pure beef, granulated sugar, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp310 (0.99%) to Rp31,650 per kg. Shallot prices, on the other hand, decreased the most by Rp280 (0.71%) to Rp39,230 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on December 5, 2024, at 12:19 WIB.

9. Curly Red Chilies: Rp30,150 per kg (up 0.6%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,360 per kg (up 0.32%)
