The daily price of medium-sized red onions in North Sumatra Province's traditional markets has decreased by 35.49% over the past month.

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 12:44 WIB, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in North Sumatra's traditional markets has dropped by Rp 750 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp 28,350.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets has decreased from Rp 43,950.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in North Sumatra over the past three months has decreased by 35.57%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in North Sumatra province was traded at Rp 44,000.

The record high for the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in July 2019 with an increase of 19.34%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2024 at -21.29%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in North Sumatra show eight commodities decreased and 16 others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Chili, Green Chili, Medium-sized Garlic, Shallot, Garlic, and Red Chili.
