Daily Prices of Curly Red Chilies at Traditional Markets in South Sumatra Province Have Fallen 45.69% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in South Sumatra Province is recorded at Rp36,250. This price is up Rp500 compared to the previous day.

Regarding the price over the past month, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets has decreased from a previous record of Rp66,750.

Meanwhile, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in South Sumatra over the past three months has fallen by 40.33%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in South Sumatra Province was traded at Rp60,750.

The record high for the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in March 2022 with an increase of 83.24%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in March 2022 with a decrease of -47.18%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in South Sumatra recorded 16 commodities decreasing and three others increasing. Basic commodities with decreased prices include: Red Onion, Chicken Eggs, Grade 2 Beef, Medium-Sized Red Onion, Chili Peppers, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Beef, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Green Chili Peppers, Curly Red Chili Peppers, Medium-Sized Garlic, Cooking Oil, Large Red Chili Peppers, Garlic, Red Chili Peppers, and Red Chili Peppers.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the past month in South Sumatra Province:

8. Medium Quality Rice II per Kg Rp14,900 per kg (unchanged)
9. Fresh Layer Chicken Meat per Kg Rp34,200 per kg (unchanged)
