Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Rice, Chicken, and Chili Prices Rise (Thursday, March 21, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (21/3/2024) at 09.28 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are premium rice, broiler chicken, garlic cloves, chicken eggs, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, dry soybean (import), and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Chicken egg prices surged the highest by Rp810 (2.54%) to Rp32,760 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices decreased the most by Rp1,980 (5.76%) to Rp32,390 per kg.

9. Milkfish: Rp32,390 per kg (down 5.76%)
