Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Chili, Beef, and Sugar Prices Rise

The prices of several food items in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (October 1, 2025) at 2:28 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include consumption sugar, pure beef, SPHP rice, consumption salt, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, fresh local buffalo meat, bulk cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt recorded the highest jump of Rp160 (1.49%) to Rp10,907 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of fresh local buffalo meat saw the deepest drop of Rp1,875 (1.3%) to Rp142,500 per kg.
