Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Beef, Chicken, and Sugar Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (30/10/2024) at 12:15 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, shallots, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), chicken eggs, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, pure beef, chicken meat, mackerel, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp710 (2.58%) to Rp28,190 per kg. Mackerel experienced the largest price decrease, down by Rp4,330 (8.92%) to Rp44,220 per kg.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,600 per kg (up 0.28%)
