Today's Food Prices December 04 in Central Java: Chili, Onion, and Oil Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (4/12/2025) at 15:34 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 9 increased and 1 decreased.

Commodities with increasing prices include large red chili, medium rice, Honan garlic, broiler chicken meat, and premium packaged palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, only bulk palm cooking oil decreased in price compared to yesterday.

Red bird's eye chili saw the highest increase of Rp2,408 (3.54%) to Rp70,389 per kg. As for bulk palm cooking oil, its price fell the deepest by Rp27 (0.15%) to Rp17,684 per liter.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,444 per kg (up 1.42%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp31,111 per kg (up 0.36%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,176 per kg (up 0.03%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,981 per liter (up 0.18%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp17,684 per liter (down 0.15%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,611 per kg (stable)
12. Minyakita: Rp16,600 per liter (stable)
13. Premium Rice: Rp15,114 per kg (stable)
14. Medium Rice: Rp13,296 per kg (up 0.14%)
