Today's (March 10) Food Prices in West Sumatra: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

Several food commodity prices in West Sumatra today were observed to be higher than yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (March 10, 2026) at 15:59 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with price increases are beef rump, broiler chicken eggs, medium rice, red bird's eye chili, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as shallots, curly red chili, large red chili, Honan garlic, and premium packaged palm cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili prices increased the most by Rp1,875 (3.54%) to Rp54,806 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices decreased the most by Rp400 (1.04%) to Rp37,900 per kg.

5. Curly Red Chili: Rp37,377 per kg (down 0.61%)
6. Honan Garlic: Rp34,975 per kg (down 0.23%)
7. Shallots: Rp31,308 per kg (down 0.2%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,734 per kg (up 0.1%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,576 per liter (down 0.13%)
