Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The price of several food commodities in Central Java today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (25/12/2024) at 15.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, medium rice, red chilies, red chili peppers, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, mackerel, milkfish, bulk cooking oil, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp980 (2.29%) to Rp43,790 per kg. Meanwhile, iodized fine salt experienced the steepest price drop, falling by Rp280 (2.57%) to Rp10,620 per kg.
